The safety of our creators, users, and partners is our highest priority. We look to each of you to help us protect this unique and vibrant community. Please take the time to read the policy below. You can also check out our guideline overview here.
Linkvertise is your place to go to get the latest, coolest and most sought-after downloads. Whatever it may be, there is a great chance you’ll find it here!
It is our number one priority to keep it safe and protect our users, so they only get, what they want. And nobody wants malware or deceptive software.
In order to prevent this, Linkvertise has worked hard to implement security mechanisms protecting customers from malware or any other shady software.
It’s pretty simple: Imaging going to a restaurant, you order food, eat - and get sick afterwards because of food poisoning.
You probably won’t go to the restaurant again. You will go to a different place next time and order something different. Now exchange the restaurant for a specific creator on Linkvertise and the food to viruses, malware or deceptive software.
Creators, trust us: You don’t want to piss off your users by exposing them to a bad download content. It will lead to a severe drop in trust by your community, decreasing clicks and consequently less revenue. And this comes from us. We used to have the Download Manager - thank god, these times are waaaaay past us.
What kind of content this policy covers
Don’t publish content that fits or that leads to any of the descriptions below:
-
Adware: Adware is a type oft software that automatically displays or downloads advertisement to a user’s device, mostly without permission. It is annoying, it is shady and it lacks security.
-
Malware: Malware or “Malicious Software” refers to any software designed to harm, exploit or otherwise compromise the functionality of computers, networks or devices. Malware can embody a wide range of malicious programs like viruses, worms, spyware or trojan horses.
-
Deceptive Software: Deceptive software is software that misleads the user about its true functionalities and intentions in order to trick users into action they usually wouldn’t take. Key attributes of deceptive software are misleading information and descriptions that may lead to an installation, e.g. it may claim to be a security tool, system optimizer or browser extension. Others use fake alerts or scare tactics like fake warnings and notifications to guide users into downloading more, often paid, software. Hidden costs can be associated with it to fix these nonexistent issues.
Guys, in order to protect users, other creators and partners in our network, all these practices and software systems are not allowed on Linkvertise. We will either detect them beforehand or we will deactivate all links with immediate effect.
